PROJECT
Killylane Water Treatment Works (WTW) treats water from Killylane reservoir. Supplying up to 16 million litres of water per day to the surrounding area of County Antrim.
In this project our perimeter security team were contracted by infrastructure specialists, TES NI LTD. To decommission the existing tracked sliding gate at the entrance to the WTW site. Replacing it with an automatic sliding gate with matching manual pedestrian gate.
SOLUTION
Breezemount Sales Manager, Andrew Seay explained, “The existing gate system had been in place for 15 plus years. Our engineers have attended the site over the years to carry out repairs to the gate. Mechanically the old gate wasn’t in great condition. When the automation system finally failed, the gate was beyond economic repair and needed to be replaced with a modern equivalent.”
We supplied and installed a 5m x 2.4m Heras SafeGlide2 automatic cantilever sliding gate with pallas welded mess infill. Controlled by radio remotes for visitor access.
RESULT
A versatile design, the SafeGlide2 is highly suited to industrial, commercial and logistic sites. It is renowned for its long-term safety and reliability. If maintained and serviced regularly, there is no doubt that this gate will also last 15 years and beyond.
