As part of upgrade work at the Royal Group of Hospitals in Belfast, we were contracted by McCormack Demolition to supply and install an automatic pedestrian gate for staff access at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.
Designed to provide a safe access route for pedestrians, Breezemount pedestrian gates are designed and custom built to suit individual applications. Most commonly used within a fence line or adjacent to a vehicular automated gate, Saracen pedestrian gates are available in a wide range of RAL colours to integrate with the surrounding environment.
For this project we collaborated with local fabrication company, Lemon Engineering. They constructed the gate and our inhouse engineers manufactured Saracen Lite automation system to drive the gate.
For access control we teamed up with the Belfast Trusts access control specialist, Radio Contact to install a proximity reader for staff access, which was also integrated into the existing hospital access control system.
Fitted with an automatic closing device the pedestrian gate is fully integrated into the fence line. Offering safe passage for pedestrians whilst ensuring the perimeter of the site remains secure.
