PROJECT:
Ryanair, Europe’s largest low-cost airline, have extended their portfolio to include state-of-the-art office accommodation in Swords, north Dublin. MAC Group were the main building contractor behind the prestigious Airside Green office complex located in Airside Business Park, Swords, and our perimeter security division were awarded the contract to provide internal speed lanes within the entrance foyer.
SOLUTION:
Six storey’s and 10,700m2 of modern office space it was essential to secure the main entrance. Working with the MAC Group our perimeter security team supplied and installed three lanes of Automatic Systems SlimLane 944’s and one lane of SlimLane 950.
Elegant with a minimal footprint SlimLane speed lanes are designed to integrate perfectly into any architectural style, offering high bidirectional throughput and uncompromising security. Equipped with high processing capacity and an exclusive detection system Slimlanes guarantee accurate user tracking, preventing any unauthorised entry.
The SlimLane 940 range are a modular product that can be installed as a single or a multi-lane array and can also be combined with the SlimLane 950 wide lane model to ensure easy access for people with reduced mobility, wheelchairs, large carts or wide objects.
RESULT:
The project ran very smoothly, we had to liaise with various subcontractors who were involved in the particular elements of the job from mains supplies, access control and fire alarm. Siemens were involved in the access control and had an unusual request for feedback to the turnstile when a badge was rejected so that it flashed up red to indicate the rejection. We were able to facilitate this using a programable input on the turnstile control boards and Siemens supplied the interfaces.
Following a successful handover, our service team will continue to service and maintain the equipment and we look forward to working with MAC Group on future projects.
